Our challenge was that many members of our management team work in their own groups and in a “silo organization”. The challenge I gave Erik van den Akker was to develop a tailor-made multi-year leadership development program in which my European senior management team

  • would become more effective not only in individual groups but throughout the company,
  • was challenged to see the bigger picture, and
  • would become a more effective and inspiring leader for their teams.

Erik has developed a great 2-year leadership development program that the 17 participants received on average with a 9,4 was assessed.

Erik has created a safe learning environment and made changes to the program where necessary. Each manager received practical tools and actively practiced how to be an inspiring and coaching leader for his team. Erik has also paid the necessary attention to applying these leadership techniques in practice.

I notice that everyone benefits from the training, and the training has made us a more integrated team where we work better together in our “silos”. This has a huge positive impact on the satisfaction of our employees and customers, and makes GLI Europe a better place to work.
