In this digital age, owning a smartphone is becoming the most normal thing in the world. As a sales manager, such a smartphone is all too useful, since you fly from appointment to appointment and can always consult your smartphone in between. For example, you view your appointments in your agenda, you turn on your navigation to the customer, call customers and view the latest news so that you can break the ice with (potential) customers with the latest news. All very useful, but haven't these functions been around longer than today? Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important in the world of smartphones. Using AI, a smartphone learns from your usage pattern and optimizes its performance in the background based on this. For example, when you are on the phone with a customer, the device simultaneously analyzes the ambient noise. The sound is then automatically adjusted so that your voice sounds better and any noise on the line disappears. Another form of AI is applied when using the battery. Unfortunately, battery technology has not grown in proportion to the development of the smartphone in recent years. For example, smartphones still cannot be used for several days without needing to be charged. As a sales manager, this will be music to your ears and you will certainly have a charger in your car to prevent an empty battery. This problem is partly solved with AI, which ensures that the smartphone uses the battery smartly. The smartphone lasts twice as long and AI ensures that the battery remains at the same level for two years.

Working memory and storage

One of the new functions of smartphones is splitting the screen. This feature allows you to open websites and take notes in another app at the same time. Another application is opening your email and calendar in one screen, so that you can more easily view your appointments while emailing. To ensure that these types of functions run smoothly, a working memory of 4GB to 6GB of RAM and 64 GB to 128 GB of integrated storage space is required. It may sound complicated, but when purchasing a new smartphone, these are the new standards that you must take into account.

Monitor

Have you forgotten your laptop or simply don't feel like taking your heavy laptop with you? With the latest Android phones you can now easily use your smartphone as a monitor. For example, with the Huawei Mate 10 Pro you can project your screen on an external screen using a USB port. From now on you can 'swipe' through your sales presentation! You can also choose to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, so that you have a PC version with minimal additional equipment.

Business and private separate

It is sometimes difficult to keep private and business life separate when using a smartphone. Look at WhatsApp for example, are all your conversations private or all business? Smartphone manufacturers are increasingly starting to respond to separation, because you can now create separate mobile accounts within the mobile settings. You create your own password for each account, so your private and business lives are separated.
